lyrics
paint is peeling
collapsing ceiling
from underneath the fault lines you can hear the red bricks screaming
stovetop littered
with pots and pans
used up matches and empty cans
but
don't don't don't don't tell me i'm wrong
this is how i feel
this is how i feel
don't don't don't don't tell me i'm wrong
this is how i feel
this is how it feels to be alone
impeccably dressed
terrifically depressed
you can see how the river bends from halfway across the bloomfield bridge
rough fingertips and
a laurel on your chest
threads unraveling from the collar of a sweater vest
but
don't don't don't don't tell me i'm wrong
this is how i feel
this is how i feel
don't don't don't don't tell me i'm wrong
this is how i feel
this is how it feels to be alone
dear friend please tell me that you know that you can do this on your own
this town's a railroad track and he's a bottle so take aim and throw
let's hear some breaking glass
breaking glass
don't don't don't don't tell me i'm wrong
this is how i feel
this is how i feel
don't don't don't don't tell me i'm wrong
this is how i feel
this is how it feels to be alone
Perfectly bittersweet jangly and fuzzy indie pop from Northern Ireland. Kendall's songwriting keeps getting better and better. Can't wait to hear what's coming next! K. Campbell
Prolific songwriter and GarageBand multitracker from Houston/Chicago who keeps cranking out simple pop melodies buried underneath stacked distortion pedal destruction. K. Campbell
This is Jed Sm... I mean Mick Trouble at the absolute height of his powers. Mick is the master of chiming guitars, expert melodicism (including in the bass parts), and songs that simultaneously make you ecstatic and angry at Thatcher (or whoever the Thatcher analog is in your life situation). Best album of the year. Jeremy Jensen
A bite-size serving of power pop from a rising Virginia band equipped with three different guitarists; riff snobs won't be disappointed. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 18, 2024
