chords come easy but the words go slow like a secret waiting to be told if it does not rhyme don't feel betrayed cuz i'd rather waste my time than have nothing to say days get longer but the years go fast like a summer from yr teenage past so what fills yr mind when these things fade cuz i'd rather waste my time than be here singing songs from yesterday though it'd be easier to do than feeling like i owe you something new so much left to prove if i lose my lines and flee the stage i'd still rather waste my time than have nothing to say

staring at the floorboards once again the place where we rest our bones is beginning to wear thin you kiss me on the cheek and then you turn to leave and these two hands begin to slowly weave static threads i got a theory and you can be the proof a simple understanding of how one is made of two there's nothing to subtract if you accept the fact that our days begin with simple math and static threads try to be right greater than all sides and still less than the sum been searching all my life and yr the one staring at the floorboards once again every crack and scratch is like a friend or relative no reason to look back if you accept the fact that our days will end with simple math and static threads
